BPPDAN (Badan Pengelola Pusat Data Asuransi Nasional/ Administrator of National Insurance Data Centre) was established to provide central statistical data of Indonesian fire insurance based on decree of DAI (Dewan Asuransi Indonesia/ Insurance Council of Indonesia) which is now to be called FAPI (Federasi Asosiasi Perasuransian Indonesia/ Federation of Indonesian Insurance Association) number 669A/DAI/92 dated 5^th October 1992 in accordance with Inter Company Agreement (ICA 1992).

 

PT Reasuransi International Indonesia until today has been trusting by the members of BPPDAN to do BPPDAN’s duty by considering the current statistical of Indonesian fire insurance to be originally maintained. 

The main function of BPPDAN is to compile the accurate information to provide statistic data and database for establishing rate.  In order to establish accurate Indonesian fire Insurance statistic data, it is compulsory for each member of BPPDAN except the reinsurers to cede each policy to BPPDAN.  The share of cession to BPPDAN is arranged as follows:
